Feng Shui at its core is about living in balance and harmony with life. The nature of it is to bring together all aspects and levels of the soul with one’s surroundings in order to help you live peaceful, creative and prosperous existence. Within your true place you have the ability to create your true health, true wealth, true love and true spirit.

We live at an exciting moment in history - an age of contrasting trends. On the one hand, disharmony, fragmentation and malaise appear widespread on many levels: spiritual, psychological, social, international, environmental... On the other hand, as modern human beings we are increasingly coming to recognize our interconnection with each other, with the Earth, and with all beings everywhere.

The goals of Feng Shui are aligned with this unifying trend toward wholeness that what we commonly experience as [inner] and [outer] worlds are really one. The term [Feng] [Shui] is associated with the symbol for [wind] [water] in the ancient oracle of the I Ching. The I Ching identifies the primal qualities present in the universe and all beings; the quality of wind and water signifies the blossoming of energy, prosperity, expansiveness and potential transformation. The action of practicing Feng Shui symbolizes openness to the experience of gratitude for whatever life brings.

At the center of our Feng Shui practice is the health of the individual person, within the psychological and physical environment of the body. We seek to promote well-being, wholeness and aliveness through dietary, lifestyle and spiritual practices and support of each individual's journey through life.

The next level is the human living and working environment -- the individual's [larger body], as Kahlil Gibran put it. Because dwellings and workplaces intimately reflect and influence our inner realities, we seek to foster vitality, harmony and ecological viability in the architecture and design of buildings, neighborhoods and public spaces.

Interwoven with these levels is our concern for the larger ecological and social health of the human and natural community. If we first promote compassionate service to our neighbors -- both human and nonhuman, then we are able to take action to support the sustainability of the processes and systems of the natural world.

The results of a Feng Shui consultation depend upon what the goals are, and upon the suggestions taken.  Some clients have commented "I can't tell you the joy that this Feng Shui has brought me.";  "As soon as I took some of your recommendations for wealth, my husband landed a contract that has been eluding him";  "This has been a great help and strength to me".  As we understand that the design of one's environment is a reflection of one's inner spirit, or CH'I, and so Feng Shui can enhance every aspect of life.  It can be used to focus on achieving specific goals as well. Relationships and creativity flourish. Businesses, careers, finances thrive. Health stabilizes. Opportunities manifest themselves. For each individual (or corporation), what unfolds in his or her life (or company) will take a different form and outcome.

Feng Shui is a concept originated by ancient Chinese for constructing residences, tombs, stores, government offices, temples, and palaces. It includes garden design, interior decorating, placement of objects in our environment, and the spread, layout, framework, color, and shape of building structures. Feng Shui allows one to make the most ideal arrangements at the most ideal time and place from the perspective of folklore, artistry, and religious belief. Therefore, those directly involved firmly believe that from Feng Shui one can expel negativity and admit auspiciousness, as well as attain a state of longevity, happiness, wealth, and prosperity. -- Professor Thomas Lin Yun

The approach to Feng Shui taken by the Black Hat Sect Tibetan Tantric Buddhist School, of which I am a student for nine years, emphasizes the use of intuition to recognize imbalances and other situations that need adjustment. Professor Thomas Lin Yun, the grand master of the school, teaches meditations, visualizations and other spiritual cultivation practices which increase awareness and develop intuitive powers.
